Dubai Airport - When you arrive a the Airport
Dubai Airport is located at just about 7 kilometres or 5 miles southeast of Dubai, and takes 15 minutes to reach the city centre of Dubai.
Currently made of 3 Terminals, the Dubai International Airport has the largest passenger traffic in the whole Middle East, and won many awards for its excellence in design and services, which is reassuring.
Travelling to and from the Airport Dubai is relatively simple with great networked public transport system of linked bus and minibus; Bus stations are situated opposite both Terminal 1 & 2.

Taxis to the city centre can also be found at the Arrivals hall in the Terminal 1. If you are going to drive in Dubai, car hire or rental car are readily located at Terminal 1 Arrivals halls and Terminal 2, where you will find the numerous cars hire company desks including Budget, Hertz, Sixt, Europecar and Thrifty.The popular deluxe five star Dubai International Hotel is located on the Arrivals level of sheikh Rashid Terminal 1 and occupies a further 2 floors above it.Banking service and ATM machines facilities are located in Terminal 1 and 3. In case of emergency, you will also find a fully equipped 24 hour Medical centre located on the ground level of the Terminal 1 Sheikh Rashid Departures Hall near Gate 13.
Once quickly finish the travel formalities, you will then be escorted to the Sheikh Rashid Terminal, and transfer takes about 10 minutes between Terminals using the airport shuttle service.

Terminal 1
Terminal 1 Sheikh Rashid is where you will come across the famous Dubai airport shopping Duty Free, where people shop until they drop at the Departures Halls on way back home, with a massive array of shopping malls on offer.

Terminal 2
Terminal 2 has just expanded its facilities and is the oldest at Dubai Airport, with now the capacity to handle 5 million passengers annually, of which mainly are tourist visitors, taking the airport total capacity to 62 million passengers. You will find a special bulk purchasing desk, with great restaurants.

Terminal 3
Terminal 3 has an annual capacity of 43 million passengers, and doted of first & business class lounges, restaurants, 180 check-in counters and 2600 parking spaces on a multi level underground structure. Concourse 3 is also part of Terminal 3, currently expanding to handle 75 million passengers per annum at the opening, which is expected to be completed by 2011.
